Complex formation between rhodamaine B and poly(sodium 4-styrenesulfonate) studied by [super.1.H]-NMR
Article Abstract:
A [super.1.H] NMR study for the binding of rhodamine B (RB) to the polyanion containing aromatic groups poly(sodium 4-styrenesulfonate) (PSS) is presented, which is also evidenced by diafiltration. [super.1.H] NMR spectra displayed an accentuated upfield shift of proton H6' of the benzoic ring of RB at pH 7, indicating the stacking of RB onto PSS.

Cationic thionin blue in the channels of zeolite mordenite: A single-crystal X-ray study
Article Abstract:
Incorporation of the cationic dye molecules thionin blue (C12H10N3S(super +)) was done using single crystals of self-synthesized mordenite-Na. The planar organic molecule that fits into a large 12-membered ring channel of mordenite was incorporated by ion-exchange replacing extra framework Na(super +) cations.

(super 1)H MAS NMR investigations of ethylene glycol adsorbed in NaX
Article Abstract:
The behavior of ethylene glycol adsorbed in NaX zeolites is studied in order to understand the effect of confinement. Typical changes in the chemical shift values for CH2 and OH groups, which are very sensitive to interactions between the molecules and the internal surfaces, are found.
